Hair Transplant-Post Surgery Instructions

• Irrigation of grafts with a normal saline solution for first 24 hours every after 1 hour. Remove dressing after 24 hours. Clean the donor site with fresh purified water with the help of cotton.

  

•  Apply prescribed Antibiotic Ointment over Donor site 2 times for next 3 days. Sleep in a semi-upright position and use two or more pillows to elevate your head for 3days. Continue to take your antibiotics and other medicines as prescribed.

  

•  Avoid excessive exposure to sunlight for10 days. Avoid heavy weight lifting for 10 days.

• Keep 2 pillows under your head while sleeping. Keep your head elevated, Avoid bending forward for 3 days.

• Wet the hair, apply medicated shampoo and spread it lightly and stand under a shower with low speed.

• Do NOT rub on the graft till 10 days. Dry the hair gently by pressing with a double folded towel. From 10 day onwards you can take bath under a shower with medium speed. You can also start wearing a loose cap.

• Wash your scalp gently without rubbing your implanted site. Rub your donor area gently to remove the scabs. Don’t engage in activities that would cause excessive sweating for a weeks’ time.
